Community Lead Internship

As a Community Lead Intern, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of international professional integration in Sweden while developing valuable skills and expanding your professional network.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Engagement & Development:

  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of morning networking events and community gatherings

  • Engage with community members across various channels (social media, in-person events, online platforms)

  • Create welcoming, inclusive environments that reflect our values of wellness and authentic connection

  • Build relationships with international professionals and newcomers to understand their needs

  • Gather feedback from community members to improve programming continuously

  • Maintain community database and communication systems

Event Management:

  • Assist in logistics coordination for wellness-focused programming and networking events

  • Support setup, facilitation, and wrap-up of community gatherings

  • Help create engaging event formats that promote authentic connections

  • Coordinate with venue partners (e.g., Collab Arena/Altitude)

  • Manage event registration, attendance tracking, and follow-up communications

Marketing & Communications:

  • Contribute to content creation for social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)

  • Support development of marketing materials and promotional campaigns

  • Help craft compelling stories that showcase community impact

  • Assist in newsletter creation and community communications

  • Engage with community members online to foster a connection between events

Partnership Development:

  • Assist in building relationships with organizations serving international communities

  • Support outreach efforts to potential partners (coworking spaces, educational institutions, etc.)

  • Help coordinate collaborative events and cross-promotional activities

  • Research new partnership opportunities aligned with our mission

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain organized records of community activities and member information

  • Assist with scheduling, calendar management, and operational tasks

  • Support documentation of processes and best practices

  • Help track metrics and outcomes for community programs

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Essential Qualities:

  • Genuine passion for community building and supporting international professionals’ integration

  • Strong alignment with wellness, inclusivity, and authentic human connection values

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently

  • Cultural sensitivity and appreciation for diversity

  • Organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a dynamic startup environment

  • Alignment with alcohol-free, wellness-focused social values

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Fluency in English (required); Swedish language skills are a strong plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)

  • Basic event coordination or volunteer experience preferred

  • Comfortable using digital tools (Google Workspace, project management tools, etc.)

  • Ability to work some evenings/mornings when events are scheduled

  • Students or recent graduates in fields like: Communications, Marketing, International Relations, Social Sciences, Business, Event Management, or related areas

WORK ARRANGEMENT & COMMITMENT

Location: Malmö/Lund, Sweden

  • Hybrid work model combining remote work and in-person activities

  • Flexibility to work from home for administrative/digital tasks

  • In-person presence required for events and community gatherings in the Malmö/Lund area

  • Access to coworking space through partner organizations when needed

Time Commitment: 15-20 hours per week

  • Flexible scheduling around your studies or other commitments

  • Some evenings and/or early mornings required for events (typically 1-2 per week)

  • Core administrative/planning work can be scheduled flexibly

  • Opportunity to adjust hours based on event calendar and personal availability

Duration: 3-6 months

  • Minimum commitment of 3 months preferred

  • Opportunity to extend based on mutual interest and organizational needs

  • Flexible start date based on candidate availability

Compensation: Unpaid Internship
